Now don't laugh, but that reminds me of this time.... I'm new to the city, moving here from Halifax by way of Montreal. I'm in Grad School at York, excited at the prospect of a new city to get to know. Most of the time, I look like I just walked out of a cheesy Scottish Romance Novel, especially when I'm wearing my kilt. Years of British TV have made my sense of humour sarcastic and ironic, and I feel you have to be able to laugh at everything, because otherwise you'd cry. I'm funny, adventurous, witty, effusive and curious. Most times I feel like a Type B masquerading as a Type A, but when I choose to do something I don't stop till its done.

My likes: I enjoy diving into a book or play or movie and being immersed in it for hours, the worn in and well used feel of old books, Lobster boils on the beach with my crazy massive family, watching all kinds of movies, British TV, exploring in the city, watching good Shakespeare, acting in good Shakespeare, cooking, coffee, any kind of art good or bad that has something true in it, non-white-people-spicy foods, craft beer, CBC Radio, sating my news addiction, ANYTHING by Alistair Macleod, Mordecai Richler and Daniel MacIvor, anything outdoors, Shakespeare again, Canadian Cultural Content, the Freak Lunchbox in Halifax, the satisfaction that comes with pushing myself and being rewarded for it, and trying anything once.

My dislikes are dishonesty, waiting, and green peppers.

And finally the reason I joined the site? I'm a big Trek fan, more than a bit of a closet nerd, and I'm hoping to meet new friends and more.
