Hi Hello, I just sort of stumbled across this site so I thought I'd give it a spin. I'm out of a relationship that really ran me around the bend, and I'm just now getting the nerve to put myself back out there. I'm think I'm ready to meet new people and have fun again! I live in south Indiana near Louisville KY in a small house with two cats. I work at a newspaper but I'm really wanting to see what else I could do to pay the bills. I've been known to dabble on the bass guitar with a local band.

Anyway, the scifi angle -- that seems like a fun way to go about this! Despite the title, I have to admit that Trek isn't my biggest passion, sorry! I'm more of a Doctor Who fan ... did I say "fan"? OK, I'm nuts for the show. All 45+ years of it. There's just something about it that really really excites me and makes me sooooo happy. If I had more than 2000 words I'd try to explain it! Oh well .... My favorite American show right now is the new Battlestar Galactica -- I love it's realism and character development, just amazing. I was about ready to give up on LOST, but that 4th season really amazed me, it was so good. Lets' see, I grew up on Star Wars like every kid of the 70s, and I still little knick-knacks scattered around my house from the films. I also loved the Tolkien books so the LOTR films were great, and I also get into the odd TV show like Columbo, House, Cowboy BeeBop, Harvey Birdman, Venture Brothers, and the Colbert Report! Oh, almost forgot: MST3K. Just the best, even when it was bad! Also, I have never seen Buffy ... but I'd like to.

Getting back to Star Trek, I was a big fan of the original series in the early 80s. Honestly, the Next Generation took awhile for me to get into, but around the 3rd season I loved it. I was off and on with Deep Space 9 -- I could never seem to find it -- but I fell in LOVE with Voyager when it went into syndication. Just loved the Janeway....
