If star trek didn't exist would we have cell phones?
If star trek didn't exist would we have cell phones? As William Shatner pointed out, Star Trek was the center for technological change (not in those words). We as babyboomers saw the imagined inventions that appeared on Star Trek and created them (transporter notwithstanding). Star trek fueled the advancement of logic circuits into all sorts of gadgets. Would today's generation be different if computers and cell phones, PDAs,GPSs, L.e.d. anythings , didn't exist. I never saw anything being developed because of Star Wars or battlestar galactica or lost in space.
