ooookaaayy......not sure what to write here! My best friend is my mini-macaw, who sits on my shoulder as I surf the web. This, however, does not make me the crazy bird lady, does it? It does give me a kind of pirate look, others tell me jokingly. The bird, however, helped me through a nasty divorce, because she truly loves me no matter what. One side effect of the divorce is that it left me really cynical about relationships, so if I seem standoffish, don't let that put you off. This chubby nurse actually is scared of all this. I also have red hair and big blue eyes, so beware!I have loved Star Trek since the 70's. I use to sneak down into our basement and watch it on an itty bitty black and white tv. You had to keep touching the rabbit ears to keep the picture. My defining movie moment was the opening of the original Star Wars...when the first craft crosses the screen, it was great, but when the next Empire ship rumbled so deep that my bones jarred (I LOVE lucas sound!), I was a addict then. I feel bad because no one in my family or my friends truly understand. It gets lonely at times. So, I am looking for someone who understands this, is patient, has their issues together, decently employed, loves SciFi and Manga, and loves to travel. I just did a cruise to Jamaica and Mexico and working on a cruise to Italy next year (the pirate thing, again....love the ocean!). Maybe that is why I love Klingons so much...they seem like the fearsome pirates of old, ravaging and pilloging! By the way, despite the pirate references, have not seen all the Depp Pirates Caribbean movies yet...imagine! So I guess I am looking for someone with a sense of adventure.
