Who moved my Babble Fish?
During a recent conversation, I jokingly said that if I were ever to be in a relationship again, I'd have to meet her in a Stargate Atlantis chat room. A few days later- POW -this Trek Passions chat site shows up. "Meet and talk to science fiction fans just like you!" Looks like finding a healthy passion for science fiction in an adult relationship isn't just MY handicap.

I grew up on scifi. Read it, watched it, played with it. It has been the iron grip on sanity during many not-so-happy times in my childhood. The real science and knowledge that I've learned from scifi, most specifically from the hours upon hours of reading it when I was younger, probably outweighs the schooled learning by a hundred-fold.
