First Science Officer looking for friendship/love... Hello,

I have just joined this site, so I'm sorry if this section seems a bit brief and vague. I'll re-write it just as soon as I have time...

I'm a 33yr British guy and I've been living in LA since spring 2008. I am a chemistry postdoc, doing research at USC. I enjoy my job, as it allows me to indulge my innate curiosity, but I try not to narrow my horizons and I maintain many interests outside of science.

In the realm of science fiction, what do I like? Well, I like to see characters who think first, rather than immediately trying to fight their way out of a crisis. I enjoy unusual and perplexing situations which the characters have to try and understand. I enjoy all the Star Treck series to varying extents, but I think TNG may well be my favourite by a small margin. In the realm of films, I very much enjoyed Dark City.
