Captainian, 50

Hi My name is Ian and I live in Kendal Cumbria. I enjoy swimming, hiking, reading, using computers, going to the cinema and theatre, spending time with friends and family and I love science fiction and fantasy. in particular I lke Star Trek and Stargate and my favourite film are the lord of the rings trilogy and Avatar. I believe that I have a genuine sense of humour and have been told by friends that i am there when they need me and am a good listener. These things I beleve are true about my nature but are also important in my line of work which is the social care sector and i have done this for nearly 15 years now, working with children and adults who have learning disabilities and now as a nursing assistant working on a hospital ward. One thing above anything that I believe in is that if you cannot be yourself and not who other people want you to be then whats the point, being yourself and genuine to that make you the person that you are. I believe that I do have a genuine nature.

I am very intrested in science fiction since i first saw star wars and my interests have varied over the years, i dident like stargate at first now after watching it a few times on sky and channel four and sky, i have every episode and atlantis too i am an avid fan and i love it. Avatar is the best film i have seen in years since lord of the rings,its a stunning story and brings so much with it not just the special effects but the characters too this film has set a bench mark in films.

so I suppose this is where i wait for any female Na'vi to get in touch and also search the profiles myself, i am willing to travel if you are and more than happy to start as friends and see where that takes us, so here we go second star to the right and straight on till morning hope to here from you, see you out there.
