I am a senior at Northwestern University (double-major in Art History and Classics with a concentration in Latin.) I love enjoying good books and good music, and exploring the world around me. Mostly Chicago. I'm a member of American Me---, but I've never actually been to an event. I'm also a nerd, so whenever I can sneak off to an old book store that smells like yellowing paper and grandma, I'm happy. Particularly because I collect rare books and old records.

I have a very stressful academic career, so when I have free time, I like to get out and do things. But I have very little desire to go clubbing, or do any of those other things I assume people do when they aren't me. I would much rather go to a new coffee shop and get a scone. Or go to Myopic with someone so we can read Chaucer to each other in pompous British accents. Or do dramatic readings of Twilight as if any word on the page had literary value.

As far as other activities go, I was a DJ for WNUR, I sometimes write politics/entertainment for NBN magazine, I worked as a research assistant to a professor in the Classics department, I model sometimes, and when I'm not doing any of those things (or studying), I read or stay in with friends. I also recently picked up knitting because I needed something to do with my hands, and really wanted to make a Tom Baker Doctor Who scarf. Mission accomplished.

I'm a huge geek. Particularly for Doctor Who, Star Trek (TOS & TNG), and Harry Potter. Spock is my personal hero, and my friends have actually taken to calling me Spock whenever they've had too much to drink. But I also adore the Doctor, and many of his companions.

I'm an INTJ if that means anything to you. Commitment scares me, I say what I mean, I value reason much more than emotion, and I'm not very sensitive. I find it easy to evaluate and explain the non-rational actions/feelings of others and devise a comforting response accordingly, but sometimes have difficulty actually empathize.
