Is "cool geek" an oxymoron? Well, when someone like me talks about themselves on a "normal" site, I would play down the geekiness. Don't want to scare the “straights†right away. So, how do I describe myself among “my people?†I guess honestly and start at the beginning.
I consider myself a sci-fi geek, and I don’t like to go too much beyond that. I was a Trekkie, a wannabe Jedi, and a Viper pilot on the original BSG, but since I like it all, I just stick with sci-fi geek.
I have been a sci-fi geek since I was first introduced to “Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea," by the AFN, in Japan, when I was a wee lad. I am still just a generic geek. I have a very wide range of interests and can talk about most anything. I still love to read sci-fi.
I am looking for someone who can hold up their side of a good conversation. Someone who is not a long distance from me. That is very important. Honesty is also a huge thing with me. I am a Christian, and very dedicated to my church family. I always try to see the good and, especially, the funny in any situation.
Well, if you want to know more about me, I guess you are just going to have to drop me an email and actually “ta
