I am currently going through a divorce. I'm alone again after 14 years.so I'm kind of out of practice with the dating thing. I don't drink so the bar/club scene is out.
I'm not into sports or cars, but I do like to watch the Olympics.
Personality wise, I'm the introverted, shy, bookish type.
My friends would describe me as quiet, compassionate, caring, friendly, with a crazy sense ofhumor.
I do have a tough time showing my sense of humor around people who are new to me, but after I get to know them and I get more comfortable, it comes out. I have a dry/spontaneous kind of humor. It's not the joke-with-punchline kind. I like the kind of spontaneous humor that you get from the Marx Brothers, Monty Python, Mr. Bean, Robin Williams, Three Stooges, and Jonathan Winters.

I am a nerd, and proud of it.
Many things about me do fit the stereotype of a nerd. I love science, science fiction, and fantasy. I do wear glasses. I have attended Star Trek conventions. And I like to play role-playing games.
However, there are many things about me that do not fit the stereotype. I don't work for NASA, or a college think-tank. I'm an electrician by trade. I do not live in my mothers basement. For one thing, I live in Wisconsin and my parents live in Northern California, and that would be just too far to drive to work everyday. Secondly, it's rare to find a house in California with a basement. Also, I have kissed a girl. In fact I have been married, and we have 5 kids.
