I collect and customize toys, well action figures specifically.
I like occasional cartoons, as my DVD library can attest (very little anime, mind you. I just don't get most of it).
I read comics and tend to enjoy many of the recent movies based on them even more.
I don't think of myself as a sci-fi fan, as such, but a majority of the movies, TV shows, and books I enjoy are (at least a little) sci-fi in their setting.
Good stories can take place in nearly any setting; sci-fi often gives a good story more room to be great because of more possibilities (you know?).
I also enjoy learning certain aspects of history, science, politics, and a myriad of other subjects.

I will not list some arbitrary traits that I would like my ideal match to have, personality or otherwise, that I do or don't like.
I will not do that because each person is different. There is always someone out there that has a way of making a given trait work or not, depending.
This line of though is difficult to explain in any form, particularly the written, so clarification will have to be asked for should it be needed.

As far as the basics are concerned, what follows is a short list of the sort of criteria I am searching for:
To be attracted to someone as much by a great conversation and loads of common ground as by their physical attributes.
To find someone that I can always find a conversation with, even if it is without words.
To find someone that I never feel compelled to hold back any part of what I have to say, even if it isn't always nice.
To find someone who genuinely respects and supports me in what I do, even if they might not fully understand.
To find someone who believes in complete equality.
To find someone who understands and the importance of personal space, even if it's in the same room.
These are things I like to think I would bring with me, so it should be fair to ask that they be reciprocated, right?
