I thought it might be fun to meet people who have a similar interest to mine. Perhaps it could lead to dating or romance. My favorite character is Captain Benjamin Sisko, but I have several others I am fond of. Deep Space Nine is my favorite series and First Contact my favorite movie, with The Voyage Home a close second. I do enjoy the optimism of The Next Generation and the outrageous nostalgia of The Original Series, but Deep Space Nine was the best at showing living beings striving to keep their heads up. That is what I strive to do. It also showed the strength of interpersonal relationships and their relevance in all times and all situations. It is something too many have deemed weak or unnecessary. I do not. I value being involved with someone, be it a friend, a family member or a lover.
