Hi there, I'm a fun, adventurous, loyal and I'd like to think fabulous person who is somewhat jaded by the whole internet dating thing - I have tried this before on another site and quite honestly, from the responses I received - I'd just as soon kiss a Wookie.

I'm not sure I have any expectations left. Just really interested in seeing what responses I get from this site. Making a few new friends would be pretty cool but I am looking to meet someone special. I am based in the UK in Cambridge. I like the usual stuff - reading, movies, watching TV, walking, travelling, photography, horse riding, sailing, yoga. I work in the publishing industry and also as a writer and cetacean researcher.

I'd like to think I've got a great sense of humour and I'd like to meet somebody who sees the ridiculous side of life - is there any other?! I have friends from all walks of life and one of my great joys is hanging out with them. Hope you feel the same way.
