So what to say...

Nice guy? Caring? Respectful? Any of those other "good qualities"? Sure, I like to think so.

Avid reader, love movies, music of most types. Never been a party animal: No frat-boy mentality here. Not into clubs or any of that. I enjoy learning and trying new things and am never afraid to admit I'm wrong or mistaken. Nobody's perfect, especially me.

Active martial artist: 2nd degree black belt in TKD, belted in hapkido and practice both as well as jiu jitsu about 5 times a week, so am fairly athletic--though wouldn't mind shedding another 20 lbs. But with all that, I am not a sports person in the least. If I can't be in the game, I won't be on the sidelines. I love working with my hands, not afraid to get dirty, and don't own any fancy duds that I can still wear (I made significant effort over recent years to shed almost 1/3 of my mass, so that really nice suit I bought? Worn once and now it fits like a tent.)

What I'm looking for: No hard-and-fast rules. Someone who is generally kind, supportive and reasonably (in)sane, can hold up her end of a conversation (or carry it if need be), loves to laugh, loves movies, music, books, food, and has no delusions that it's all wine and roses, though I'll happily share wine with and bring roses to the Right Girl. Also someone who takes more than a passing interest in taking care of herself.

Mental agility is a big plus. Your sense of humor might best be described as skewed, absurdist, punny, and generally off-kilter. A wee bit snarky and ascerbic helps, but not too much.
