I saw my first Star Trek episode on Sept. 9, 1966. I was in the hospital recovering from a motorbike. this was in Albuquerque, where the Friday episode was videotaped for showing the next day.
I am different from most males; I am transgender and live as a woman during the day. Why? I have Asperger's syndrome, just like a lot of science fiction writers. My male identity is very broken; using it, I can hardly function. Don't pay any attention to urban legends and internet hype; this is am real identity, not some psycho-sexual aberration. I cracked how gender works. I meet strangers all the time who think I am a woman. Of course, I get to do costuming all day long and not seem like I am anything out of the ordinary.
I lost my wife, so I turned to meditation. Insight has shown me how gender works. Now I can realistically live as a woman, and even talk like a woman. se---lly, I am still male, so I have a male desire to have a woman in my life. I function now with low ego. I make a good, conscientious partner. I am able to meet my part of a male-female relationship, but without poor social skills, dominat..., bullying, and a failure to communicate. I can explain how gender, the gender-binary, and sexism work.
Recently, I attended Norwescon 37 in SeaTac, WA. There were seven panels on various aspects of gender.
I can't do cultural fantasy dating. I am always an authentic person who leads an interesting life. I know a lot about a lot of things; I have access to a great photographic memory. I am now very articulate and socially adept.
