We no longer have to decide what to watch soley by what is on when where home or even rethink going out on certain nights. the problem with these new viewing options is that it skrews with the rating and the advertising. we may see good shows die a premature death while other shows stay simply because they simply apeal to those watchers who watch the "old fashioned way"
Will this mean the end of telivision?
What Will replace it, or what will it morph into?

Will someone shut that man up

Honestly, I use all of those methods, but VCR is most common.

I only use VCR/DVD/HDD recorders, but this is mainly because a show might run at the same time as another. The best part is to fast forward through the commercials which I'm sure the networks and advertisers hate. The latest technology I heard was a box that downloads movies and TV shows via wireless or phone line, but I think the FCC got involved and that whole system is put on hold.

I use my vcr a lot because, working third shift, I generally get up around 8 PM and spend the next hour getting ready to leave for work, then leave at 9. So I rarely get to see anything when it actually airs. If I forget to record something, I will download it and burn it to DVD. SO, really, almost never do I see broadcast TV!

I know what you mean, until recently I had a job from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. so I had to program my recorders so I wouldn't miss any shows.

I like to see something when it's offered, fresh and hot but often there's another program on at the same time.
In my area Star Trek/TOS is on at the same time as Farscape:SG1 so I luv my VCR, almost as much as my DVD player.

I can stop whenever I want, I just don't want to now leave me alone, I just got another disk from Netflix!

Whenever I want. I have downloads of everything, including the first, allegedly non-existent, episodes of Doctor Who! Can you say "Bad-ass"? I knew you could!

I TRY to watch it at it's scheduled time, but there's been plenty of shows (non-sci-fi included) that have their times and/or days changed and I lose track of it!
There's also been a few shows I haven't seen the first time round; it's repeats I see of it and get into it.

I do love DVDs though - no ad. breaks every ten minutes, woo-hoo! It does help though, I can enjoy and get into something more seeing just whole episodes and a few episodes one after the other.
