It's not Sci-Fi, but it's good!!
The SciFi chanell has agreed to air the live adaptatin of Jim Butcher's "The Dresden Files".
These are fantastic books and I can't wait to see what has been done with the show! It is due to air January 2007.

I have only read one of the books so far, but I really enjoyed it. I am really looking forward to this one. After reading the one book I have, I really wished I had bought the audio book read by James Marsters.

I recently read (in the past month) "Dead Beat" the most recent book in the series. Still a very good series and getting more interesting with each book. I like Butcher's fantasy series as well.
I will agree that the audio-book would be interesting but I am really looking forward to the series. SciFi hasn't updated their website of yet but TV guide and YouTube have the advertisements
So far, the only date I can track down is Spring 2007 for airing. Hopefully there will be more information soon |

Finnishing up the premeire now. reminds me of a boys version of charmed, the early seasons. I like it but if Harry becomes a mermaid or a Valkyre that the end

I think it is more akin to Supernatural than Charmed. Or maybe somewhere in between. But, I enjoyed it.

It seems like a mix of 'Charmed' and 'Supernatural' (at least to me). The premire was alright, a bit confusing.
Look, I didn't hear any screaming or squishing sounds. |

It's Harry Potter grown-up with a little mix of the Rockford files. I was really expecting monsters not people in makeup that act like Ravens. I hear the books are better and they changed a few things for the series. Not sure I'm going to stick around, will probably give it one more episode.

I haven't read any of the books on which the series is based, so for me anyway the series will either stand or fall on it's own. So far it seems okay, but it doesn't really draw me in. Which is to say, I'd put it on my list of shows that I'll watch if there's nothing better on, but I don't really care if I miss it either. I think the description of "Dresden Files" as a grown-up "Harry Potter, P.I." is probably a good one. LOL

I thought this week's ep with the werewolves was the best yet. Anyone else enjoy it as much as I did?

I dropped the series after the second episode, I just don't find it particularly entertaining. Maybe I'll catch the sci-fi channel marathon when it's on.

It's good enterainment, but unlike other series discussed on this site )Galactica, Heros...) you don't need to watch each ep in order to get the underlining story

It is not Masterpiece Theater, but it is enjoyable. Not really "must see TV" yet, though. I figure it will take at least a season to get it's "legs".
