As far as sci-fi goes, I'm a big fan of books. All kind of them. Among my favorites are those dealing with Alternate History, like those of Harry Turtledove (Worldwar and Southern Victory especially), John Birmingham (Axis of Time Trilogy), but also more hardcore books like Dan Simmons Hyperion and Illium&Olympos.
As far as TV shows go I enjoy Babylon 5, Star Trek (all of them except TNG, and especially TOS and Enterprise), Stargate Atlantis and Space Above and Beyond.
As for movies, my favorite sci-fi movie has to be The Man from Earth. But The Final Countdown comes as a close second.
