I’m an intimacy coach living in the North Bay, dreaming of my very own Chakotay (how original, lol) and looking for my own crew of fans. I started watching ST: Voyager when I was 8yrs old, and Captain Janeway and her crew became a vital part of my being—weaving together the values that would shape the woman I am today. I’ve ventured out a bit into other Trek over the years (Disco, SNW, TNG), though nothing quite as religiously as Voyager. I’m an avid reader of fanfiction and write a bit myself (when I’m not writing for professional purposes). I’m also a freelance editor, and lend some of my free time to some of my favorite shippers/authors on AO3 as a beta.I used to be an actress, and was once very engaged in Democratic politics, having worked in the field all the way from local elections into the national/presidential stage. I’ve met some pretty amazing people along that journey. I think Star Trek and politics go hand in hand as passions for how to imagine a better world. I’ve never been to a convention before, but I just purchased the last available ticket for the sold out Star Trek cruise 2025 (go big or go home, right?) and I’m so excited to meet fans there. Wishing I knew some local fans going to the Expo in SF. We really are the best sort.

I’m basically here to meet Trekkies/Trekkers, whether that’s for friendship or more, as the people I’ve had the privilege to meet online through the fanfiction community have been some of the most impressive and like-minded individuals I know. I think it’s wonderful that there is a site devoted to facilitating a deeper connection through Trek, since I think being a fan speaks to one’s core values as a human being and what our place is in this wild and miraculous world.

Let’s keep boldly seeking out new friendships and new connections—with an open heart. That’s my continuing mission.
