Does anyone remember Logan's Run?

I still have my one only VHS copy (I am so behind the times) and accidentally recorded over part of it. 8(

Logan's Run is a classic. Thankfully, my VHS copy is still intact.

I'm hoping the updated version, should it actually happen,
stays true. Bryan Singer is involved, I think, so it has
potential.

I'm sure they'll be a Logan's Run special edition DVD coming out once the re-make is in production or near its release date. It's one of my personal favorites, the movie does need to be re-mastered and fully restored from a negative print somewhere down that MGM vault.

"RENEW!"

Be of great cheer Vixi. They are putting out a remake of Logan's Run next year. From what I hear, it'll be closer to the book than the original film was.

WOW!!! A new version? omg..I should have to see that. Ah this is some news. Thanks for letting me know guys. In the meantime I think I need to scour eBay and Amazon for a VHS copy of Logan's Run. Unless of course I decide to RENEW to a DVD player. haha

Looking forward to the new Logan myself. Something tells me that, unlike the "Planet of the Apes" revision, this one will get it done.

Oh Lord! The remake of Planet of the Apes was so horrible. I like a lot of what Burton does but he really dropped the ball on that movie. I hope that they never ever do a sequal for it.

Are you guys referring to the one that came out around July 2001? The one with Mark Wahlberg and that dude from Rocky Horror?

That's the one, the "apes" remake pretty much sucked but I give it props for makeup FX. Let's also not forget the horrible remake of "Rollerball", how can you screw up a sci-fi sports movie?

I actually kinda liked the newer Planet of the Apes, but my favorites are always the classic ones. I often wonder why I don't own them on video. Maybe I should look for them all.

I got the 35 Anniversy Silver Screen DVD version of the original Planet Of The Apes. It's great! If I could, I'd have all of the movies and t.v. shows (including the cartoons) on DVD. Hard to find them though.

I got the Legacy Collection DVD set of the Planet of the Apes movies, with a extended version of Battle for the Planet of the Apes which I think was originally taken from the laserdisc. You can tell from each movie that the budget was less and less, it so apparent in "Battle" with you only see 20 mutants fighting in those scenes.

Theres one I can't remember the name of that had a more modern day America kinda theme to it, where they made the apes slaves to humans. I would like to see it again, if I knew the title.

That was Conquest for the Planet of the Apes, great sequel. It was more violent and from what I hear, but they cut those scenes out of the film.

I was young when they were showing these movie reruns on TV. I remember my favorite one had a scene where the main characters were running from some kinda trooper apes and they fell through into a destroyed subway. It was suspenseful hehe

And I think it was the first movie that the apes were doing labotomies on humans? That kinda freaked me out a little as a kid.

I also watched goofy 1970's remakes of Frankenstein films.

I loved to watch Dark Shadows also...
