John Carpenter's cult 1988 film "They Live" might be getting the remake treatment from Universal and Strike Entertainment, according to the Hollywood Reporter. They are now in negotiations to require the film rights from holder Les Mougins.

`Normally I would be against it since some of the John Carpenter movie remakes (The Fog, Halloween, Assault on Precinct 13) either sucked or were not very memorable. Personally I think "They Live" isn't one of John Carpenter's best films, maybe another director can do a better job of it.
