i've often thought about a trek-themed date party -- everyone dresses up in character (plus masks! tee-hee!), and we watch a couple movies, get stoned, and people just h--k up with who they like; no strings. i mean, a lot of these dating services all I hear about is "i want a relationship" "are you my soul mate" blah blah. no offense, but i'm still young and not ready for that stuff yet. i just like to party. am i the only one? problem is, party freaks and the sci fi freaks never seem to go together. please, tell me i'm not the only one on this planet! and I hope you live in the t-dot too cause i'm randier than a Betazoid in 'The Phase' (tee-hee-hee!)

Nothing wrong with partying, I've been to a few Star Trek conventions where people drink and party in someone's hotel room (and I think some of them hooked up afterwards when it was over). Even though they pay for it with a hang over the next day. Your party idea sounds interesting but I'm betting that most older Star Trek fans will give you the "been there, done that" speech. I agree that you're young and shouldn't be tied down to one guy, but most of the man here seem to want a long-term relationship, (or cyber S-- ).

If you think that sci fi fans aren't partiers, you have never been to a good convention. I would challenge anyone to keep up with me at a con when it comes to hunting down parties.

Just give me a little while to set up and I'll see what I can do. I don't know about you guys, but this weekend was TOTALLY draining. I wish I could say it was because of certain FUN stuff (wink, wink), but nope! The good news is, it gave me time to think of a new dating idea. Role playing with your partner - in Star Trek character, by specific episode and scene, which you can take into areas where no man has gone before! Hee hee!

it is a kind of a cool idea sarah but surely no one is allowed to dress up as klingons. Klingons are so not fit. I guess I might dress up as a Orion slave girl. Is that hot guys?

And what is wrong with Klingons, I ask?

Green, blue, purple...whatever. Hotness is in the woman, after all, not the character.

They are noisy, raucous, agressive individuals and have a cornish pasty stuck to their forehead. And hey, I'm 5ft6, 56kg quite frankly Kiingon woman and what they do in the bedroom scares me!

There ya go, making unfounded generalizations. Most Klingon costumers in real life are just big teddybears, like me. There are a few who use being Klingon as an excuse for being obnoxious, but they are few and far between. And, in my experience, NO ONE knows how to praty better than a Klingon!

Doesn't that kind of depend on the Klingon, or the teddy bear,
for that matter?

I don't go for Klingons typically, but I'll admit I'd give Gowron
a chance..."What color were his eyes??!?!??!" It gets me
every time.

I am a very cute Klingon. Of course, I am also the only Klingon Jester to the Empire, so...

You know, I was watching Star Trek 3 the other night - my 23rd time by the way, seven more times than I've seen Star Trek 5, but several LESS times than I've seen a certain something else (I'll leave the rest to your imagination - hee hee!) and boy oh boy, Christopher Lloyd and his gang looked HOT. Given a choice of costumes, I know who I'D wanna party with! ; )

Klingons are hot. And so are the leather outfits. I'd like to dress as a Klingon warrior female in full armor, with a cute Orion slave boy on a leash. :)
