Lost...uh-huh.

Okay, so Gilligan's Island is now in The Twillight Zone?

No, thank you---but by all means, indulge yourselves.

My definition of science fiction extends to such shows as House m.d. (tuesday nights on Fox) and Numb3rs (friday nights on CBS: check your local listings) but LOST? Oh, I dunno...maybe because I know if an airliner disintergrates at altitude, one thing is certain;

They're all dead
Everybody's dead
Everybody's dead Dave.

Maybe Rambaldi beamed them to the island at the last second---no, I'm not getting suckered into another chase for clues that leads only to a bad case of cobalt globes!

I like lost. If lost is not Sci Fi then the Island of Dr. Marou is not Sci fi. An uncharted island filled With Human (psycological) testing. Unknown power sources, Lost is Sci Fi. but the Exec weren't buying Scifu so they re catagorized it

LOST is sci-fi/suspence/action/drama. Very Happy

I don't see it being on for longer than 7 years so we have five more to go through and plenty of time to have answers coming along. From what I've seen, we'll learn more about The Others this season.

My thoughts as to what the island is? It's Atlantis and the others are scientests that have found it. This would explain Smokie, the para-normal, the telepathic stuff, and why there's an old (pirate?) ship at the center of the island. It may even explain the effect the numbers have on people.

Its going to come down to counter programming. What the other networks put up against it.

I only give it four seasons. Maybe three with a summer movie wrpping it all up.

Their current schedualing idea sound good. no repeats if you miss an eppisode you'll have to buy the dvd. It will either rivit people to the show or people will get lost after missing one eppisode

Well I heard they added two actors to the cast to put more S-- and romance on the show this coming season, didn't they learned anything from last season? Most people hated Michelle Rodriguez, and it seems like Libby didn't do much except to be a subpilot in flashbacks.

Pretty much J. J. Abrams says LOST is sci-fi but if he would have pitched that to ABC it would never have been made.

I always thought that Michelle's character acted like she knew a little more about the events on the island than she was letting on. I didn't hate the character, but the sneering she seemed to always do was getting on my nerves. So, having her shot wasn't such a bad thing.

As for Libby I can't see how bringing her in only to kill her off at the end of the season was productive.

You know I kind of liked Ana and I was hoping at some point she would get with Jack. There were rumors of Rodriguez's bad attitude to her cast members on the set, then came the DUI arrest. I think Libby was supposed to get shot for shock value, but they probably decided to kill two birds with one stone. Two days after that episode aired the producers did interviews "Oh we planed this from the beginning." , sounds like damage control to me.

Yeah, but Libby was part of Herley's past. I mean, she was in the hospital with him. I wanted to know more about that connection. Could it be that they are all inmates of an insane asylum?

That is one of the theories I've heard. But I feel that would be a cop out.

For now I just want to enjoy the ride

Well, what are your thoughts on what might happen this season. I know we are suppose to learn more about the "Others", but I want to know more about the island itself. I mean... what was the remains of the statue from? With the power maganet no longer working, will Smokie be free to room more? And what IS Smokie? Is it the ID Monster? Is it a cloud of Nanobugs?

Beware the beast Man for he is the Devil's pawn.
Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport, or lust, or greed.
Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land.
Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert out of his home and yours.
Shun him. Drive him back into his jungle lair.
For he is the harbinger of death.

You know, funny you should say that. When Charlie shot Ian, I instantly thought "Gilligan! You've done it again!" Does anyone sort of see a cross between Gilligan and Charlie?

Did people enjoy the "Lost" portion of the Emmy intro this year?

I'm still chuckling over Hurley telling Conan they weren't invited.
