This was one of the most awesome eps of the whole season! The background of HRG, the fact that Claude worked for/with HRG, Hiro's father is part of what is obviously more of a worldwide conspiracy than I had previously realized, the humanizing element to HRG of the love he has for his family, Claire breaking away to w whole new life, not to mention that awesome scene of here walkign out of the explosion (great Wolverine moment there!), and all fo the other good stuff that went on in the ep. And I am SUCH a fanboy! When I saw Christopher Eccleston sitting next to Eric Roberts, I was "Look! The Master & The Doctor together again!" This truly was a fantastic ep in my book. I can't wait for tonight's now.

I had a few issues with the ending of the episode. I'm sorry but that it just ticks me off; I mean first of all Dad shouldn't go anywhere near Clare 'cause of the amount of radiation she came into contact with and he should be dead because of the same reason, and both of them shouldn't be hugging the rest of the family. I mean when Daniel was exposed to a lethal dose he was shouting at people to get away from him when he was heading towards the infirmary in 'Meridian'.
And to top it all off, they hardly quarantine Dad, Clare, and Matt and Ted somehow manages to survive going -kaboom- and they have him sedated and locked up, so how he meets Peter so Peter can go all nuclear on NYC is beyond me.
Talk about your plot-holes.....

I totally agree that Claire should have been majorly radioactive - heck, Ted probably put out enough rads to have turned the entire neighborhood into a Superfund clean-up site!
That aside, I did like the back-story on Claude and Bennet - oh, and lest I forget Hiro's FATHER as well, all being part of the AWI (Agency Without Initials). Given that Claude turned up again 15 years after the AWI thought Bennett had killed him, I pretty much figured his bosses weren't going to buy the whole "Claire got ed" story.
I get the impression that the graphic novels are a lot like this episode was in giving backstory on characters.

I would suspect the lack of radiation has to do with Claire's powers. I imagine she absorded ALL of the radiation from all of the family. My explanation anyway. As for Peter and Ted not meeting, we just haven't seen it yet. I am sure it will show up.
