But he was in the comics in later years. In fact, as far back 1980, I think it was, there was a Marvel Two In One with the Thing, where he and Ben Grimm sat down, drank a few brews and talked about stuff. In fact, I had a letter printed about that issue, my first in a comic book.

I think another problem for the film was adding to many villains, Sam (the director) was kind of talked into adding Venom because of his popularity, it should have focused on Harry and Sandman.

When I first heard the basic plot for Spidey 3 I thought they were going to use Venom as a cliffhanger. Wet our whistle so they could sell A spidey 4. Even if they sent MJ to Hollywood For 1 movie They could have done it without Kirsten Dunst And they could get a lot of milage out of the Time zone rule. For good or bad, they finished the series..... at least with Toby M and crew
