Heroes is about a group of ordinary people that discover they have superpowers. NBC has been pretty excited about this since they viewed the plot, and it seems to be the most anticipated TV show among people on the Internet. It was finally green lighted today to make it to the fall 2006 lineup.

Could be a gimmick, but I haven't seen this much buzz for a pilot (before it airs) since LOST. Like always it depends on the writing, acting and where the producers/creator want to take the premise of people with superpowers to find out if the show will last. I'll reserve judgment until I see the pilot episode.

Here's a summary-

"Heroes is a serial saga about people all over the world discovering that they have superpowers and trying to deal with how this change affects their lives. The ralatable superheros include Peter Petrelli, a 30 year old male nurse who believes he can fly, Diego Medina, a 20 year old junkie who has the ability to paint images of the future when he is high, Niki Sanders, a 33 year-old Las Vegas showgirl who can do incredible things with mirrors, Hiro Makamura, a 24 year-old Japanese comic book geek who literally makes time stand still, D.L. Hawkins, a 31 year old inmate who can transport himself through walls, and Claire Bennet, 17 year old cheerleader who defies death at every turn. Not only are they discovering what having superpowers means to them but also the larger picture of where their superpowers come from. Eventually their superpowers draw them together when they try to evade the series' antagonist who wants to harness their super-DNA for himself."

Ok, that might be interesting. I was under the impression originally that it was an attempt at "reality" TV.

This might be good.

I still stand by my orignal statement, but I have to admit that it seems somewhat interesting. I guess that Milo Ventimiglia (Jess from 'Gilmore Girls') is going to be in it. (He's the one what looks like green hospital scrubs in the back between the suit and the guy in the light blue shirt.)

I think Milo has a lot of potential to be a better actor if he wasn't offered the bad boy roles most of the time. I hear he's playing Rocky's son in the next sequel.

Your thinking of "So you want to be a super hero with Stan Lee" Can you say train wreck

Heros could also be called " Unbreakable the series" but the they would have to pay M Knight Royalities

I liked the first time they did "Misfits of science"

Ok, that's what I thought. Yeah, SL's "reality" series, that will tank. But Heroes has possibilities.
