There's a photo of that in a TV Guide magazine article about the 200 episode, and Tapping is really hot as Chiana. |

Yup you did. They also are going to do something with the 'Wizard of Oz' because there's a pic in 'TV Guide' with the new SG1 as Dorothy and Gang. Also on the cover of the mag. there's a pic of Amanda and RDA in full wedding gear. |

My favorite part was the entire episode. I liked 'Star Trek', 'Team America' and 'Farscape' spoofs (and the fact that Willie Garison's character didn't know what 'Farscape' was). And Walter finally got to go through the Gate. |

Sam would be Mary Ann, Daniel would be the Professor, Vala would be Ginger, Mitchell would be Gilligan, and Jack would be The Skipper. |

I generally enjoyed anything about the 200th episode but the most parts that made me laugh was invisible Jack O'Neil, Farscape, Star Trek and the interviews with the Wormhole Extreme actors at the end.
Too bad Atlantis "dream sequence" story didn't do the same, it wasn't a bad episode but it's nothing I haven't seen before. You would think they could have come up with something better for a Richard Dean Anderson appearance. |

I thought that 'The Real World' was quite good. RDA was good, but I was still in stiches over '200' so I really didn't pay too much attention to the episode. I think that with the Replicator Neium they've created another Fifth. RDA's gonna be in two more Atlantis episodes this season. |

I think one of my favorite parts was a clip they showed in the
"SciFi Inside" special about the 200th episode.
They had a segment about jokes on the set and things like that,
and they showed a clip from the episode where Carter and O'Neill
think they're stranded on an ice planet. They are chipping away at
the ice to try and get to the DHD, and O'Neill says he doesn't
know what to do. Then Amanda Tapping goes into a rant that
still has me laughing:
"You spent seven years on MacGyver and you can't figure this one
out? We -- we got belt buckles and shoelaces and a piece of gum --
build a nuclear reactor for cryin' out loud! You used to be MacGyver,
MacGadget, MacGimmick -- now you're Mr. MacUseless! Dear God --
stuck on a glacier with MacGyver!" |

Yea that was funny. I also liked the bit with Gary Jones and him trying to figure out if he was going to be in the 200th. I think that they should have done something with 'The Simpsons' since they made a number of refrences to the show during over the seasons. |

BREAKING NEWS!!
Scifi just cancelled SG1 today, but renewed Atlantis for another year.
I feel a rush of emotions; shock, sadness, and strongly of all: anger. You know why? Because it's Scifi's fault. Why? Because they didn't promote it enough, they put it against the show Monk, they didn't promote it enough, the kept premeiring it in the summer, and THEY DIDN'T PROMOTE ENOUGH!! And to do it the week after the 200th episode really sucks.
One question I have is this; Since they already have contracts signed for another year past this one, what are they going to do about it? All I can say is the convention is going to be *that* much more interesting. |

I'm sure they'll pay the actors for the remainder of the contracts. I did read something about the ratings not being as good as before, so I kind of agree that sci-fi channel should have kept it the way it was before, (the original sci-fi Friday lineup). But to be honest I think it's time, ten years is long enough, hopefully these characters will be visiting Atlantis to, so it won't be the last time we see them. I can see the Internet campaigns now, "Save Stargate", sign the petitions, send the emails! |
