I'm currently reading the ShadowMaster series. I'm currently on the 4th of the series. Found the website on the Internet and bought the first one. Really didn't think I'd like it, but I'm willing to give anyone a shot when it comes to Sci-Fi writing. Very interesting storylines and love following how the story continues on. I bought the next 3 in the series after I finshed the first one. Would love to see more from his guy!

`Also, a multi tasking reader...I'm about finished with Empire by Orson Scott Card and I've been on a kick of his books recently. I'm nearly finished with the entire Ender series though he has another coming out soon. I'm also working on his "invasive procedures", "debatable space" by philip palmer, and "Guns, germs, and steel" by Jared Diamond. got a few more Card books in the queue and then onto some Heinlein.

InNYC wrote: I'm reading 'Destroyermen Into The Storm' by Taylor Anderson. It's about two warships during WWII that pass through a time-warp (of sorts) and end up in another version of the world.
Evolution has taken a different path, and despite being beaten down tremendously, the two ships are far superior to any of the technology in the new world. It's got a bit of a Jurassic Park feel, although they haven't actually gone back in time.
It's an OK read for what I bought it for, which is to distract me while I'm on the Elliptical at the gym.
that sounds interesting. Have you read any of Harry Turtledove's books? He likes to delve into the 'What ifs' of History; he did an entire series where the American South won the Civil War and was its own country (there was also a Spike Lee film about that except the South took over the entire country) and had a Hitler-esq character in it.
He also did another series of books where aliens attacked during WWII and so we stopped fighting each other to fight them. Didn't read the series but the concept sounds intersting.
Currently I only have time to read books for my classes at Uni. Right now I'm reading a book about King Leopold II and what he did to the Congo in the late 1800's.
