`The Star Trek Vanguard series, the william Shatner Star Trek novels, The Star Trek Titan Series, and anything to do with TOS.

`'Ringworld' by Larry Niven, and 'Winners' by Poul Anderson. Also, 'Prime Directive' by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens. TOS books are great.
