This series is a better succsessor to Kolchack, The Night Stalker from the 70's. The dark humor, the gritty inner city setting, the love/ hate relationship with the police...

Will someone shut that man up

I don't see it, in fact I would compare the CW's Supernatural to the original Night Stalker. Kolchack often said to people he worked for the sewer department or he said he was a retired General to get people to talk about the murders. The brothers do the same thing but they take it a step further, having fake IDs and even wearing uniforms. Then there's always the monster of the week, which some were based on myth and urban legends the creator of Supernatural has collected so he won't run out of material to use.

I like both better than the Kolchack series they had last year

Last year's series of Night Stalker was the biggest mess I have seen in a long time. Dresden is definitely growing on me. Especially with that hot female vampire last week. Possibly the hottest female vamp since Jeannette in Forever Knight or Angie Harmon in Tales From The Crypt: Bordello of Blood. WOW! Shocked

Whoa! Who increased their fx budget? and where was Bob?
I think we learned more about harry and his Wizarding World more than all the other epps combined

Interestingly enough, Sunday's ep was based on the first Harry Dresden novel, the only one I have read so far. Very cool ep. As for Bob, I am not sure why he wasn't there, except that we weren't in Harry's office hardly at all, just at his apartment.

this latest Eppisode showed that bob is good guy not just doing pennance like Harry. Bob had an out but didn't take it. We also saw that Harry feels he still has to make amense, not so much for killing his uncle but for using black magic. Maybe Hogwarts should learn from Uncle Joseph and have a ghost teach Deffence against the dark arts Very Happy
