I HAVE to go see this. I am in awe of just the previews and already predicting three Oscars for cinematography, costumes, and make up. It could be more, but I don't want to predict more than that without seeing it. Anyone else pumped about it? Anyone seen a review yet?

I was watching the documentary "Last Stand the 300" on the History Channel last night those Spartans were bad ass. They were the delta force of the ancient world, all Spartan males trained at the age of 7 to take pain and fight to become warriors for the state. I have plans to see 300 tonight, I'm definitely looking forward to this.

Saw it last night and it was pretty good, although the CGI blood takes the edge off it, the beheadings and cutting off of arms and legs makes up for it. Don't expect any great acting, this is just a good war movie. Some of the visuals are impressive although some parts will remind you of The Matrix. The theater was packed at my showing, it looks like this might break boxoffice records.

From the artwork I have seen from the Frank Miller graphic novel, they have done a superb job of recreating that artwork. I am gonna try and see this on the weekend. Pay day week. LOL

Saw it last Saturday...hmm...I guess I dug it.
The effects were pretty great, I must say. Lots of computer-generated blood.
Xerxes was a bit too RuPaul for me though.
But acting-wise...I still favor Sin City.
A sequel...didn't everyone die?
Oh well.
