Well I have to admit that the movie is good when it comes to action, CGI special effects and a few humorous corny lines. There are some things I didn't like, spoilers.....

Cyclops off screen death scene, this could have been Scott's time to shine, but instead we don't see his death and its early in to the movie.

Rogue reduced to four lines, she's basically a cameo. She was such a big part of the first and second movie, it's a shame.

Angel wasn't even used that much in the film except for a few good special effect shots of a man flying with wings.

I was expecting a good Wolverine vs. Sentinel battle but all I saw was a severed robot head being tossed out in the middle of the Danger Room and they didn't show Wolverine doing it.

They made Juggernaut a mutant, not to mention he looked pretty silly.

Some shoddy editing, I got the feeling that it was rushed to get it released in the theaters.

No way is this better than X-Men 2, but on the other hand X-Men 3 is a nice summer popcorn movie.

See, that's just it. I expect FAR MORE than "a nice popcorn movie" when it comes to X-Men. Leave the empty headed "fun" ish to mindless blow em up action movies.

This is the X-MEN! They didn't become famous for being fluff material.

I expect more. Far more. Singer gave us that.

I tried to go see it on Friday, and since I didn't buy my tickets in advance, the entire night was sold out by the time I got there (around 6:00).

While I was a little dissappointed, I wasn't that surprised. I figured I'd just go on Saturday, but this time I went earlier...and it was sold out from 2:00 through 10:45pm. Again, no big deal, just a little dissappointment.

Sunday, I didn't even try.

Today, at 12:20pm I got in.

Good movie, but I did find myself wanting more action. More coolness. More...in general.

I don't want to talk it down, because there were definitely parts that were exciting, and really fun...but I think my expectations were maybe too high, so it was bound not to meet them (I guess).

And not to give anything away, but I was dissappointed with the small amount of screen time one of the new mutants got. I expected Angel to have a big spot, and his minor, almost cameo appearance surprised me. I bet there is a lot more of him on the cutting room floor, because it didn't make much sense to introduce him and then do so little with him.

All in all though, I did enjoy it, and I did walk out feeling like I got my money's worth...and in New York, that's saying something ($10.75).

If you think about it, they never show Scott's body. They all assume that Jean killed him. For all we know he could be alive and they wouldn't know it.

I guess that if you watch the credits for the movie at the end, they show the guy who was the case study with Moria in the beginning of the movie and that you can hear Proff. X's mental voice from the man's body. (Does anyone smell a fourth movie?)

Maybe they screwed up on the script, Professor X should have sensed Scott still alive, but he told Jean she killed him. X-Men 3 was supposed to be the last, but FOX said if it does well at the boxoffice there will be more sequels to come.

Well I know that there are rumors of a Wolverine prequal and a prequal for Magneto as well.

4th movie, indeed they set it up. At the very end Magneto moves the chess piece - I guess the "cure" isn't permanent

You never see Scott's body, who knows - apparently even when you crush someone with a lake they can come back...

You could easily do Prequils as well, Wolverine is a favorite and probably easy to do.

Overall though, good effects, Magneto moving the bridge was both unbelievable and awesome at the same time

Mediocre story, and I'm not to worried about the changeup in the universe, it certainly happens in movies for various reasons. If the movie is self contained that's good enough for me.

cheers
