You know, X-Files has been off the air for a while now and I've been wondering if Chris Carter is going to make another film that ties up the lose ends left in the final episode of X-Files. Anyone know if that's a future project or has it just been dropped.

Frank Spotnitz mentioned about a year ago that a new X-Files flick was still in the works. But, that was befor ehis dreadful Night Stalker hit the air and tanked so miserably (and deservedly so), so I don't know if that could have impacted the decision makers at Fox as to whether they want to continue with the project or not. Nothing showing on IMDB about afilm being in the works.

I haven't heard anything about the sequel for a very long time, but the last idea they had was to avoid another alien conspiracy story. It was going to be a stand-alone film, more frightening and scary.
