It seems and this is from observing, Sylar looks inside the brains of people with special abilities and somehow re-wire his own brain to get their abilities, the watchmaker angle kind of gave it away. I really liked Charlie and it's too bad we won't see her again, but it was a good character development for Hiro. In January it's going to be Heroes vs. 24 for Monday night ratings, and the creator of Heroes is going to step up the action because of it.

For me this episode was so-so. We got to see their lives six months ago and what they were like before their powers. And only two of them openly displayed them.
I think that Hiro's power is like a battery, he needs to recharge it every so often.
Look, I didn't hear any screaming or squishing sounds. |

I agree about Syler and I think it will be interesting to see whether Peter can mimic abilities from Sylar, too. Peter is turning out to be the most potentially powerful of all of the heroes. There is a possibility that Heroes may change it's time slot and day, but not until February at the earliest. NBC isn't ignoring 24 though. LOL

I thought the same thing about Hiro. Either that, or he is only allowed one trip to a particular time period, otherwise it could damage the warp of space-time.

Concerning the changing of the time and/or day the show is run could just kill the show. You know it is with a new show and when the network starts moving thngs around. Viewers get lost, miss episodes, and then start looking for other things to watch. I hope that doesn't happen.

Yeah, it could hurt it. But, being the biggest hit of all the new shows, it may draw it's audience with it. You never can tell.

12:00 AM, 01-DECEMBER-06
Tim Kring, creator and executive producer of NBC's hit SF superhero drama Heroes, told SCI FI Wire that the Dec. 4 fall season cliffhanger, "Fallout," will follow a unique strategy that's been in place since the show's pilot. The strategy, Kring said in an interview, is designed for a dual purpose: to ensure that everyone in the large ensemble cast gets his or her moment to shine and also to entice viewers to come back each week for the latest chapter in the serialized drama.
"The pilot had cliffhangers for every single character, so it forced you to come back in the next episode to the same idea," Kring said. "By the fifth episode, we were able to winnow that down so that we could tell fewer stories. In episode six we basically told two characters' story. It was Claire [Hayden Panettiere] and Niki [Ali Larter]. And we've sort of fallen into a pattern of three or four stories per episode now."
"Fallout," which is episode 11, returns to telling everyone's story, and it will end with a cliffhanger. Or several of them. "We're off the air for six weeks after episode 11, and so we cliffhang once again most of the characters' stories, which forces us in episode 12 to come back to everybody's story," Kring said. "So it has been a real balancing act, a real juggling act, and the only thing I can say is that if you miss certain characters for a while, just stay tuned, because they come back. They all sort of ebb and flow." Heroes airs on NBC Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT. It will return on Jan. 22, 2007. NBC is owned by NBC Universal, which also owns SCIFI.COM. —Ian Spelling

Viewers have invested their time already on these characters and pretty much cares what happens to them, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that they will stick around and keep those ratings high. Hopefully this Monday's episode cliffhanger will get people talking for weeks.

I really don't think Heroes has to worry about rtings. I think 24 is on the downside of it's TV life, and Heroes is just getting started good. I think the fans will stick around.

I honestly have mixed feelings about the time change. I'm still ticked off at NBC for all their receint changes to the Sci-fi Channel (cancelling SG1, moving BSG to Sunday, pushing back SG1 and SGA back another month...) so I'm reserving my judgement until there's actual confirmation about a time/day change.
Look, I didn't hear any screaming or squishing sounds. |

Tonight's episode "Fallout" The recent tragedy weighs down on the heroes while they continue to learn more about the upcoming disaster in Isaac's painting; a new lead is pursued in the hunt for Sylar and Niki must make a difficult decision to keep her family safe.

No ONE has a comment about Monday's episode? A death and one hell of a cliffhanger???? And a new tagline that is gonna make an awesome t-shirt. I can see it in simple white letters ona black tee:
"Are you on this list?"
January 22 is too frakkin' far off!!!!

I figured Eden was going to die the minute she said she was going to make Sylar kill himself. Definitely a good episode, and it seems like Peter can't control Radiation man's powers, at least that's what it looks like. So are we supposed to believe that Hiro travels to prehistoric times with a sword and fights a T-Rex? Hope the writers don't try to pull a fast one on us.

My prediction is Hiro is either at a theme park or museum. Fringey I want my Shirt to say "I am on the list". Still can't wait to see Takie and Eckelson on the series
Will someone shut that man up

At first I thought Peter was going to die but then thought about what Furture Hiro said, so then I thought that it was going to be DL, but wasn't really surprised that it was Eden.
My guess is that Radation Man was nearby Peter so that's why he had those funky dreams, I also think that his own power in addition to the Leach-like power is visions.
I want the shirt that says (on the front) 'Save the Cheerleader' (on the back) 'Save the World' and the one that says (on the front) 'Are you on the list?' (on the back) 'I am'.
Look, I didn't hear any screaming or squishing sounds. |
