For those of you that know me, thanks for reading this post; I am humbled by your notice of such.
It is my opinion that many of the women here are genuinely uninterested in trying to talk to the opposite S-- simply because of how difficult it can be to find that one person they can fall passionately in love with. I feel this way because for the number of times I have been in the chat room, there are more men there and far less women. I think that the women should be at least willing to embrace the idea of being less inhibited as a great many of the men here are genuinely nice, interesting people.
If some of the women were more willing to talk to the other men, then friendships would begin and perhaps even romantic relationships would bloom.
I apologize to those women who may think of this as both ignorant and discourteous but it has been my experience while I have been here. You are welcome to respond to this post with whatever you feel, good or bad.

Until the site has a large number of members online simultaneously throughout the day, it is really just a matter of luck on whether or not other people will be in the chatroom at the same time as you.
We are finding that most people throughout the network are moving to the lobby when they login, even though it is not related to the site they login on.
While there is still not a huge number of people within chat at any one time, during some periods of the day, there is a regular crowd who enjoy chatting with one another.
As the network grows, and more and more people are online at the same time, you should see the chatroom(s) grow more and more active.
Thanks for your patience as we grow!

Hi Maise, Welcome to the boards. Stick around in the forums, it might not be the chatrooms but we do have good discussions.

Thank you Rayman! To return to the topic that pcrt45 started, us gitrls can be a bit wary of chatrooms on any site for two reasons,
1. Menfolk who pester you for MSN or Yahoo Messenger user identities. As if I am going to give that information out in a public room.
2. Menfolk who have no desire for any form of chat that is not preceded by the words, s--, h----, frisky, you get the picture I am painting and it is not a pretty one. For the record I have always found that if I am in the mood for that sort of chat I will have a much more satisfying experience with a woman. The fantasies that guys conjour up are just so shallow and they seem to have no desire in satisfying anyone but their own little soldier.

you left out "hot".
About the only place I chat is obscure IRC channels...at least until I master reaching through the screen and pummeling. It's really the only way to deal with all those "do you have a webcam?" guys.
I'll hop on chat here and see if it's any better than most though, just to give you all the benifit of the doubt. =D

(ps- please forgive typos or spelling. I've a sprained wrist and typing it once was more than enough.) ;D |

I doubt I am the only one, but I sometimes feel like I must be weird or something because I don't like cyber or webcam s--. It just leaves me feeling feeling frustrated, annoyed and empty on the few occasions I have tried it. I want a real person, not a cyber clone of a person. Am I the only guy here who feels this way? I want a relationship, someone to hold and cuddle with, someone I can talk to all night and suddenly realize the sun is coming up as we both realize we need to get some sleep. The just curling up together to sleep. I don't know why this whole cybersex thing is sucha big deal. Is it easier for some people to do that than to actually risk something more meaningful? I guess I am jsut feeling a little lonely and cynical tonight, so forgive me if I sound harsh.

I agree I can't stand cyber sex, or even the phone S-- thing. I prefer that real thing.

I can agree with that. But, I also want more than just a physical relationship. That, too, leaves me feeling pretty empty afterwards. Honestly, S-- is easy. Friendship and love are harder to come by.

Count me in as one whose not into cyber sex, even though it's the safest S-- next to the condom. Although I think maintaining a loving relationship is harder.

Harder, but more worthwhile, enjoyable and fulfilling.

Finding a loving relationship is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. The last one lasted a month in a half because she had this serial victom complex. I would love to have a perm relationship right now, and there are a lot of lovely ladies on this site but most of them are out of my reach because of distance and the two that I emailed haven't email back in a week and look like they never check the site. I'm just hoping someday I'll be lucky.

If I might, Andrew? Worry less about finding a permanent relationship and look for firends first. Often, I have found, I have fallen into relationships when i am least expecting, or looking, for one. That doesn't keep me from looking, but I worry less about it when i am just enjoying other people's company. Let's face it, we are all more attractive to other people when we are relaxed and just being ourselves. Most of us anyway.

You have a point but I've never been very good at the just dating thing. And I don't have very many female friends these days mostly because I don't get out much because when and how much I work. I almost don't have enough time to sleep let alone work on a friendship. And that is the sad part.

You can do what I did. I started a fan group here where I live and started having monthly get togethers. I posted flyers in local comic andf gaming shops, books stores, etc. I also planned the get togethers according to my schedule so it would be somethign I would not miss out on. I also made it friendly to just about anything anyone could get into, becausse my interests are so broad, I can enjoy the company of a wide variety of people. I have been able to meet a lot of cool people through this group. Start your own group like my Bug-Eyed Monster Society!
