Nothing on startrek.com. I would suggest contacting whatever local station was carrying reruns of Enterprise in your area.

I haven't seen any commercials or ads yet, so I'm guessing it won't premiere this Saturday, although I could be wrong.

Well, the local channel that carried Enterprise, and a bunch of other sci fi, was the WB channel that is merging with the UPN channel. I can't find anything on either of their sites about it, so I dunno if we are getting it. I am searchign startrek.com in another window as I type this, but am having no luck.

Here are videos, TV spots and a CBS promotional video with behind the scenes footage of a re-recording of the original Star Trek theme music with an orchestra and a singer.

Well the "Balance of Terror" episode is on this afternoon, and "Miri" tomorrow on my local WB channel (soon-to-be the new CW network), so I get a double dose of "Star Trek: Remastered".

Lucky dog! We only get the one episode, "Balance of Terror" tomorrow. I am finding myself excited about this, in spite of myself!

I am kind of looking forward to it, to hear the original theme song remade in stereo. Although I'm disappointed it won't be broadcast in High Definition, at least in my area. I'm sure the HD and Standard remastered DVDs will be coming out soon or next year.

Well first I have to say that the picture quality of the re-mastered version is better, but this is on digital I can imagine what it looks like in HD. The only things altered was the Enterprise shots, some scenes look identical from the unaltered version but the CGI Enterprise is tilting/drifting slightly in space. They've improved the photon torpedos, it's a bright blue and when it's fired there's a glimmer of light shining off the surface of the Enterprise. The Romulan Bird of Prey still looks the same only in CGI and like I said before practically copying space scenes shot for shot, don't expect to see a great (CGI) space battle between the two ships. All in all I think some will enjoy it some won't and will stick to the original versions.

Checking the WWME TV (Channel 23 Chicago) I found it in a search; seems we're not getting it until next Saturday. But that's OK with me, should be a nice early B-Day present!
.....................................man I hope this doesn't suck

Saw "Miri" today there wasn't much CGI , probably just 20 seconds total. Again their using the same shots from the original unaltered episode and just adding the CGI Enterprise. The picture quality and sound is better, but you would have to compare a recorded version to your DVDs to see the difference. I've read some comments and fans seem to be split, some are disappointed they didn't add more CGI, while some like it because it respects the original and that they didn't go overboard with the enhancements. So any thoughts on the Remastered episodes?

I am kind of "eh" about it. Some of the things I noticed were nice, like the reflection of the photon torpedos/phasers and one really nice beauty pass close up of the Romulan Bird of Prey where you could see hull plates and stuff, but was ti really worth all the hoopla? As for the opening changes, the only noticeable changes were the opening notes of the theme and the ship was a lot faster.

Well, I finally saw what all the screaming's been about this past weekend...you've got to be kidding me.
This is why that clown just had to upset so many Trekkers? He had a burning need to spend time, effort and money to do...this?
To me it looked like the "new" ship and effects graphics were done on someone's old PC---yo what kind of chip you got in there, a Dorito?
The Episode "Balance of Terror" needed no such help---it didn't need even more editing either---hell I like the weapons fire sequences in the 40-year-old version better! (If someone can tell me how photon torpedoes come out of what I'd been told was the sensor radome, I'd really like to know.)
If even one of the low-grade morons who wrote for Enterprise had watched this episode, they could have avoided so many stupid mistakes but redoing the graphics was a waste!
