Out of the slew of Super Hero films that have come out, I thought the Spiderman films have been the best. Of course, that's just my opin. But I do think the first "Michael Keeton" Batman films were good as well, just a bit below Spiderman. The more recent version of Punisher was good and so was Hellboy. X-men 1 and 2 were good, though 3 left me cold.

What's your opin?

With the exception of some Marvel attempts back in the early nineties. I think most superhero films of the past twenty years have been great. Batman and Spiderman are my favorites. If I picked just one, I would have to go with Batman Begins as that was just so perfectly well-done and finally got Batman exactly right. Burton's two Batman films were close, but not quite there. Nolan got it right.

I'm not a fan of Tim Burton but he did a good job on Batman, although let's face it Jack Nicholson stole the movie. Batman Begins blows them all out of the water, best superhero movie ever (despite the fact that Katie Holmes is in).

The original Superman with Christopher Reeves will always have a special place in my heart, Superman II is also my favorite. I just want to forget the other sequels that came after that. I enjoyed Superman Returns even though it has a few flaws. The Spiderman movies have really impressed me, I didn't think they could pull it off, the acting, special effects have been good.

Fantastic Four was kind of a disappointment, bad casting to add Jessica Alba as the invisible woman. The arguments between the Thing and the Torch were the only good highlights of the film, but I might give it a second chance since the Silver Surfer will be in the sequel.

X-Men 2 is the only one I've really liked, part 1 is okay I see that mainly as the introduction of the characters, but part 3 just wasn't up to standards already set by part 2.

Okay, it may not qualify as "superhero" (not sure of the
exact definition myself), but the others mentioned have been
comics, which made me think of "The Crow."

I don't know how die-hard comic fans felt, but I thought that
movie was superb (although tragic in real life).

The Crow (the first one) was pretty good and worked with original matterial. However, like HellBoy, I don't really count it as Super Hero. Both deal with demons, like Dr. Strange and Dr. Fate. of Marvel and DC fame. They fall more in the mythical genre as far as I can see.

But they were good films.

I feel the need to mention "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai
Across the 8th Dimension." I think Buckaroo counts as a superhero,
especially since within the movie there are Buckaroo superhero
comics based on his adventures. Abo----ely my favorite superhero
movie.

Also, how about a shout-out to "The Toxic Avenger" -- not exactly
a "great" movie, but a classic nonetheless.

Out of all those listed, Patrick, I'd only be interested in seeing:

Spider-Man 3
Ghostrider
Wolverine
Magneto
Punisher 2

If they made a live action version of Spider-Man and do it better than that laughable 70's version, I'd love to see that too.

I'm tired of the animation stuff. It's all so watered down.

I haven't been watching Cartoon Network. I don't have the channel. But I'm still of the opin that cartoons are watered down so because they are aimed at kids more than adults.

That's not saying that they haven't come along way from the cartoons we had as kids. I just don't think they are as good as live action.
