Back when I was in grade school, around 1980ish there was a TV mini-series that featured a strange beyond belief tale everyday for a week. The stories, for example: one was about a vampire looking for a woman I think, another was about a guy in outer space. They would show portions of each story almost each episode. I am not referring to Amazing Stories, but a made for TV mini-series. For the life of me I cannot remember the name or it, and I have always wanted to track it down again someday. It was featured on one of the major TV networks. It was either on NBC, ABC or CBS. Does anyone have a clue with such crappy detail I have posted here?

This wasn't "Cliffhangers" was it? There was a vampire story and then there was one about a cowboy that finds a city underground, they were half-hour stories which leave you with a cliffhangar every week.

Another tough nut---or maybe not for this crowd.

I'm not a much of a horror fan, but I liked this one---all half-dozen episodes or so.

The name sounds familiar, must have missed this one. Since were talking about horror shows my favorites were.

Freddy's Nightmares
Tales From The Darkside (Sci-Fi Channel picked this one up)
Friday The 13th the TV series
Monsters

Remember any of these ninjabear?

Guess you didn't read my post above "Darkside" has already been mentioned. I never was a HBO fan or long-term subscriber, so Tales from the Crypt I would probably catch once in a blue moon.

That was the show I was thinking of too, with Michael Nouri as Dracula, actually. There was third story about gangster set in the thirties. I loved the show. Unfortunately, it wasn't a min series, but a regular series and got cancelled fairly early without resolving the stories.
