OMG while my hubby and I were reading through all the posts we both remembered more TV shows.

Like Hardcastle and McCormick, it was around the same time as Greatest American Hero, A-Team, Knight Rider and Air Wolf etc. Ofcourse if your going to think of Hardcastle and McCormick then your going to have to include Miami Vice, also Jake and the Fat Man, Hunter, Maverick, Magnum PI, Scarecrow and Mrs King, Open All Hours, Inspecter Gadget, Moonlighting, Sailor Moon.

Some one mentioned the Go-Bots, that just sent my hubby's brain into a frenzy remembering old cartoons and movies, like C.H.O.M.P.S Canine Home Protection System. Oh and not really remembering its proper name but there was a show about a scarecrow who loved his choccie bickies and was in love with a mannikin.

The Wombles, comon, the wombles of wimbeldon! That just sparked a generation of insults LOL

Lets add Paddington Bear to that aswell.

ALF Alien Life Form.....not just the tv show but the cartoon aswell

Lets add Punky Brewster and Pippy Longstocking and Marmalade ( Don't encourage your father!)

There was some show also about some ghosts, like Ghosts of Motley Lane or somthing like that, anyone care to correct me?

Please fill in this gap too, a family that had an android daughter, with blonde pigtails who opened up her chest for some forgotten reason.

I'm pretty sure we will remember more as time flies by.

Oh like The Ratties!

And FRAGGLE ROCK! WITH THE DOOZERS! DOING WHAT DOOZERS DO!

which brings in the muppets of course.

LOL! told ya's. |

Wait till your Father Gets Home - The Simpsons of its day ...well sort of

The Return of the Saint - Okay what I remember most is that white matchstick man driving and him doing other stuff in the opening credits

Sidekicks - it was a series based on the film The Last Electric Knight about a cop and a little chinese kid who does kung fu ....Gil 'Buck Rogers' Gerard starred. |

Do any of you remember a show called "You can't do that on Television"? My Dad hated it and refused to allow us to watch it after he got home, we loved it though.

What about Secret Valley, or Fame:the TV series?

I know this isn't a TV show but do any of you remember the movies D.A.R.Y.L, or the Goonies, Gremlins, Flight of the Navigator?

Last but not least Neverending Story???? |

				| I'm surprise no one remembers "One Step Beyond" (1959-1961) TV series, it has supernatural stories in each episode. Saw this in syndication in the '70s. |

Hey Cooky37, I didn't really like the snorks much either, both the Smurfs & the Snorks annoyed the living crap outta me!

You are right about the show 'Small Wonder' that's the show I was thinking of.

Hi to you too Jamie77, absolutely brilliant name you have there, it's my baby son's name as well. Yes Worzel was the scarecrow show I liked. I think I liked it mainly cause it scared the bejeezus outta my sister, but then I used to be able to do that too, LOL. I also cracked up laughing when you mentioned Count Duckula ("Coming Duckie Poos!!!! LOL)

Lastly Hello to you Lucifer666, cool nickname btw..

No I never had a crush on Ulysses, for starters I was 4 when I first saw it, but I loved NoNo. The cartoon had such profound effect on me though that I went on to spend the rest of my life researching Ancient Greek & Roman mythology. I am making Ancient History & Archeology my career.

I intend to complete a PhD of AH & A majoring in everything from the dawn of man to the fall of the Roman empire.

So as you can tell that particular cartoon holds a special place in my heart. I have a lot to thank it for.

Is it true that Ulysses 31 still runs over in the UK?? |

I don't know if they qualify as "shows" or if they were seen

in other countries, but how about a "shout out" to all

those School House Rock segments?

The grammar ones were my favorites (conjunction junction;

unpack your adjectives, interjections, and the list goes on...), but

the math and history/civics ones were fun as well ("no more kings"

or the one about a bill becoming a law).

Ah, the good old days.... |

Oh, I don't think Space Ghost will ever be a feature film; not after what Cartoon Network did to it.

For Bub's edification Space Ghost had three cohorts; the twins Jan and Jace, and a monkey named Blip.

When I was a small child I craved all sci-fi, and Space Goust was one of my heroes (sigh) good times...

On the other hand a toon that could be made into a decent action flick?

Speed Racer: Greg "Speed" Racer as a NASCAR driver who, through a twisted series of events, winds up in posession of a hot concept car, the Mach-5, which he must keep away from either corporate spies or foreign agents.

Nah, never happen; too good of an idea... |

Okay, just scanned through the first six pages and have one thing to add at the moment:

I like Space: Above & Beyond, and would rather have seen it "reimagined" than Battlestar Galactica. |

Thanks Tanyab I like the name Tanya myself

A couple of years ago they did show Ullysses 31 on the normal main channels in the UK and Ireland but not any more ...though they may show them still on satellite! God it must have effected you alot to influence you on your career path.....

Thats right Jamie I forgot about that other version of the Saint it was largely hyped at the beginning but when it didn't appeal it was banished....and yeah I remembber that Godzilla cartoon with Godzookie who was basically the baby who ---- around the humans and added the comedy element. Did you see they are releasing a new Robin Hood on the BBC ?

Yeah Ninjabear I recall now the twins and the monkey alright .... |
