Anyone ever wonder what heaven would be like for a diehard sci-fi fan?
Personally I'd like to be a Jedi Knight flying a runabout between Babylon5 and Battlestar Galactica...
there's more to it of course (can you launch a Gunstar from a cobra bay?) but that's the short definition of heaven to me.
(we can discuss "traveling companions" and "layovers" some other time) |

a pleasure planet specifically created for me by the planet makers of Magrathea. it would be psychically linked to my innermost thoughts and would relay them to construction sites and experts on me all over the planet. Thus my every whim would be attened to without me even having to notify anyone what i wanted them to do. |

Twileks and trills... and a room where I can force Tolkien, Timothy Zahn, R.A. Salvatore, George R.R. Martin and other great writers to pump out books. |

Why would you want to "force" those writers to write books that could be hell for them. then again an eternal Q&A with a bunch of fan boys (like my heavan) could be hell for them too |

Heaven would be exactly what I wish for here on Earth: A huge movie room with all of my favorite TV shows and movies playing constantly. I would have a huge recliner to sit in and my firends would surround me. All of my favorite actors, actresses, writers, etc would drop by to chat about different stuff and beautiful, sexy, scantily clad folks would be serving us food and drink at the snap of a finger!

Hey you know maybe heaven and hell are one in the same.. the good people get what they want and the bad people are the ones serving the good folk.. like getting us drinks and massaging us and being forced to hold conversations with the rest of us and stuff |

First. Draw a circle. On the circle, make a dot("pencil mark"). Draw and arrow pointing to that dot. Label that arrow Birth/death....".and repeat" |

I like that idea. Especially if they are folks who had done me wrong in life. Getting to boss them around would be heavenly!

My idea of heaven would be owning my own Klingon Bird of Prey and visiting all around the galaxy, meeting all kinds of people along the way. I would love to be able to have conversations with different aliens and learn about their cultures. Living in the Star Trek universe would be my idea of a cool "Heaven".
The idea of having a projection TV, with surround sound and all the DVDs I want sounds good too! And a collection of all the Trek novels ever written.
Qapla'!

My heaven is simply roaming free among the stars, no machines, no suit, just consciousness without boundaries. I can go anywhere, see anything, look backward and forward in time, and yet always return to see friends and family long gone. Failing that maybe I'll get lucky and be reincarnated as a starship captain.
