I`m curious. How come nobody stays in the chatroom (now up & running) for more than a few seconds? I know it`s empty but if anybody stayed for a few minutes then more might stay! This might be a bit radical but give it a try.

Great idea!

And we recommend that people open the chat window, and move it somewhere on the desktop so it can be seen when people enter the room.

You can continue to use the site while the chatroom remains open in another window.

Separately, we'd like to encourage people to schedule 'after show' chats...or even during show chats if you are interested.

This would allow people to chat with others about shows live. Since only the people in the chatroom would see what was discussed, no one would have to be worried with 'spoilers'.

Wouldn't it be fun to have online chats right after 'Heroes', 'Eureka', 'Battlestar Gallactica', etc.

We're spending our time on the actual programmingof the site, so it's pretty much up to the members to coordinate things like this at the moment...although we are considering additional features to help in this area.

Great Idea, and now that Sci Fi Will be starting new shows nows the time.
BTW how important is top of the hour sign in rule? I don't even think of doing it if i log in at quarter till or quarter past the hour

The 'top of the hour' idea is just a suggestion, since it seems to be difficult to get a 'critical mass' in the chatroom.

Everyone is welcome in the chatroom whenever they would like to visit though.
