I believe he wrote with a ghostwriter, but the ideas and plots were his. One thing I will never diss Shatner for is intelligence. Ego yes, smarts no.

And reinvent himself. Once he figured out his ego was offputting to people, he sure hasn't wasted any time making fun of that image. I can give him credit for that, too. With sucha big ego, it could be very difficult to do that, so he at least has a sense of humor.

Hope this clear's thing a little. The trek book spectre has a forward that reads as follows;

Gar andjudy reeves-stevens are incredible. Their work speaks for itself.Their mastery of the legends of star trek is incomparable.

To john ordover, margret clarke and gina centrello for their expertise.

I think that the shat has the broad ideas and roughs out the plotlines and then the writing team flesh out the beast.
All i say is so what, good luck to them all, if i recall in one of his other books there is a dedication to his team. Make of that what you will.
Am not here to call anyone out just saying what i think.
