You're not the only one kiddo! I have mine up on my website. Which I posted the link to at the beginning. So if it comes down to a contest, it'll be between you and I.

Across the Sands of Time, along the Shores of Life, the Traveler rides on. For he knows his journey ends in lovers meeting.

Beware the beast Man for he is the Devil's pawn.
Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport, or ----, or greed.
Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land.
Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert out of his home and yours.
Shun him. Drive him back into his jungle lair.
For he is the harbinger of death.

That has to be the first time someone's called me kiddo since I turned 20.
Look, I didn't hear any screaming or squishing sounds. |

I am really annoyed. For some reason, unknown even to our IT peeps, most of us here at work can not access Yahoo. Some people CAN, but most can't. I have been trying to find a link to my Klingon Jester costume pic on Flickr, but can't get to Flickr! I will have to go home at 7 AM and post from there. I haven't forgotten, just haven't been able to post. Please forgive the delay.

Sorry I couldn't find better pics. It seemed like a hundred people asked me to take my pic at Dragoncon, but I will be stuffed if I can find any of them online! I wish I had a good pic of my sceptre here. I actually took a doll's head and added forehead ridges with liquid silicon and a goatee to match mine.

I'll set up the poll now.

Is it pathetic if we vote for our own costume?
Honestly I thought that there would be more pictures than the three of us. May the best one win.
I like the costume fringey.
Look, I didn't hear any screaming or squishing sounds. |

What's sad is that only two people voted and only three of us put up photos. I would have thought more people, who like sci-fi and go to cons in costume, would have put their photos up too. Is it me, or there only five to six people now running in the board?

Actually, I changed my mind, but ended up voting for someone else instead of myself. I still think I had the best costume but wanted be fair. My bros and I wore costumes to work yesterday and ended up splitting the vote to where the three of us (a mad scientist, a knight from the middle ages, and my klingon jester) tied for second place. A guy in drap won. How original is that? sheesh. Still, we did all get gift certificates to a nice Italian restaurant nearby. Did anyone else dress up for Halloween at work?

You're just saying that because I was the only girl to post.
We could dress up in a costume at work if we wanted to, but I had the day off. But I wore my costume to school. There were a lot of people who did dress up and many of those were people who are apart of the local sci-fi club. One guy was dressed as the 10th Doctor and went the whole ten yards (he had a mock up a the sonic screwdriver and had an accent) and one of my friends was a female John Sheppard. The school had a costume contest but I didn't enter because it was during class. I think that you should dress up for the fun of it and not to win a contest.

I always dress up for Halloween at work on most jobs. I wasn't going to this year because I work thrid shift with two or three people and it seemed a lot of trouble to go to for no one to see it. Since they decided to have the contest (last year they didn't let us dress up) I decided to go ahead and dress up and come back on my own time for an hour or so to show off.
