Thanks to Feedback and " the folks down in the lab" for the post signature option. As I go thru the posts, some of the sig are self explanatory some are new to me. care to explain your sig or why you picked it?
Me First: it is from the opening of the musical 1776. As john Adams fillabusters for a debate on colonial Independance The Congress/Chorus sings for him to sit down. Some one shouts "Will someone shut that man up?" to Which Adams' replies "NEVER!"
My god do you see how many posts I've done? Maybe i should shut up
NEVER!

Mine comes from the original Planet Of The Apes film. Cornilius reads from the sacred scrolls to Taylor. It has become my creed for how I feel about Mankind in general. I pretty much agree with it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beware the beast Man for he is the Devil's pawn.
Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport, or ----, or greed.
Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land.
Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert out of his home and yours.
Shun him. Drive him back into his jungle lair.
For he is the harbinger of death.
The Sacred Scrolls: 29th Scroll, 6th Verse

My sig is a combination of the username that most people off of Trek Passions would know me by, The Fringe Element. That comes from the idea that I am on the fringe of what society considers "normal", the random element in any equation. I have been using that since the old BSS days before there was a real "internet". The quote is actually mine, I think, and it is my motto for life.

BTW, cooky, I meant to tell you, my father once appeared in a local stage version of 1776 in Kentucky back in the early seventies (I think) playing, of all people, John Adams!

Mine comes from an ISOT story titled "Ravens" by Ed Stalker, it's on the "Changing the Times" website, in the Writer's Development section.
Now, if this was a science fiction movie, this is the part where the brilliant boy genius that everybody has been ignoring up to this point, pipes up and tells the balding Captain that by cross linking the Warp Core, the Impulse engine and a reverse framistat, then dividing the warp field lattice by the square root of last Tuesday, he can get them all home. |
