why we must ALL support the new film

Okay I've seen the trailers, read the new stories and I've come to an informed opinion; it's time for some tough love.
By all accounts J.J.Abrams has created the slam-bang, t--- & s--- blowing up kind of mush-brained drivel the network wanted from Roddenberry, back in the sixties.
The cash addicted studio bigshots need to know we're not going to settle for this crud; the only way to help an addict is to force them to help themselves.
We can't feed Paramount's addiction, even a little, or they will think what they're doing is acceptable.

That said, this pile of day-old dog s--- will probably draw big---hey, stupid sells---but not one penny from me.

`I don't like Star Trek V, and I don't like Insurrection or Nemesis either. No matter how many times I watch them. All of the various TV series had their peaks and valleys too.

The bottom line for me is, I will give the new film a chance. If I like it, then great. If not, watching the film will be a one-time occurence for me. Regardless, I'll share my opinion with others. Each person can make up their own mind. What sustains a franchise is repeat business and fan loyalty.

The Berman formula was growing tired. I agree that Manny Coto was taking Enterprise in the right direction, albeit too late. That series could have been so much better. Unfortunately, the dwindling number of viewers didn't allow Coto's new direction to reach fruition.
