Just saw This movie (the holidays are hectic first move i saw in over a month) If it weren't for the fact that Lucas said himself that he borrowed a lot from other sources i woud have jumped up and yelled plagerism.
if you want the plot take the plot for Star wars, a new Hope and replace the word Jedi with Dragon rider. the effect are ok but they are the same effect i've seen in Dragon movies for the past 20 years. just because the Author was'nt born that long ago doesn't mean it is open season. are ther no new ideas left
Will someone shut that man up

I saw it as well. It was ok, held my attention. My sister is a big 'Lord of the Rings' fan and she thought that the battle was like Helms Deep,
'Eragon' was 'Aragorn', and Brom was Gandalf-esq.
People I talked too after seeing the movie said that it was nothing like the book (having not read it, I'm taking their word for it).
Look, I didn't hear any screaming or squishing sounds. |

After reading a lot of reviews from both critics and the general viewing public, I decided to wait for DVD on this one.
