Has anyone's dating been inspired by Star Trek?
Has your love life been influenced by any sci-fi TV show? Ever tried a pickup line from an episode of Voyager? Are you, or anyone you know, experiencing good or bad dating because of lessons learned from sci-fi TV? Is your relationship successful (or ruined) because of what you've learned from sci-fi TV?
Is your treatment of your date because of how Kirk acted with his ladies?
I need to know because I think TV has effected how I interact...
Make it so...

Other than the fact that I would definitely date a green-skinned woman or a bald lady, not really.
Don't let it affect your dating interaction too much. You don't want to hit warp speed when you should be in impulse!

I think I would be highly amused if someone started pulling out all the Trek stops on a date.
Then I might have to slap them.

Yes. And that frightens me.
Or someone being like.."I want to mind-meld with you."
I think Star Wars quoting would be scarier though...because as much as it disapoints some people..Jedi mind control doesn't work on me.

I have actually used a line with my Obi Hayve costume (Austin Powers as a Jedi Knight) where I do the little hand pass and say "I make you randy, baby!". Gets a great laugh every time.

I can't see you wearing a Slave Leai costume. Mainly because I really don't want to think about that.

Oh no not me but I wouldn't mind seeing a lady friend, when I have one, in it

Who wouldn't??? You ought to search for pictures from this year's Dragoncon. Someone did a full-size replica of Jabba the Hut as a sculpture and brought it to the con. Then they made an effort to get all the Slave Leias they could find to pose with it. Belive me, there were plenty of them. It is easily the most popular female costume at cons. So much so, that I actually found myself NOT wanting to see anymore this year! Too much of a good thing.

Oh, I know Mara Jade. I have always wondered what she would look like if they made a movie with her character. I imagine her as very sexy, but don't have a clue who could play her. With your drama major, maybe it COULD be you someday! I would go to see that in the theater!

I got this giggle in my head I thought I'd share with you all.
To lovers are in bed, going at it like mad. The guy is a big Star Wars fan. During his excitment, instead of shouting "Who's your daddy!" he shouts "Trust your feelings. You know it to be true. I am your father!"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Across the Sands of Time, along the Shores of Life, the Traveler rides on. For he knows his journey ends in lovers meeting.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beware the beast Man for he is the Devil's pawn.
Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport, or ----, or greed.
Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land.
Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert out of his home and yours.
Shun him. Drive him back into his jungle lair.
For he is the harbinger of death.
