Okay, October is here. As usual, my brain is in Halloween mode, as I am sure you can tell from my posts. I was just thinking back over some of my favorite horror comics, magazines and characters. My favorite magazine was Famous Monsters of Filmland. I was in the store every month waiting on the truck to arrive with the new issue when I was a teenager. Vampirella was also a favorite, as were Creepy, Werewolf By Night, Tomb of Dracula, House of Mystery, Swamp Thing, Man-Thing, and so many more. Then there were characters like Morbius The Living Vampire, Brother Voodoo, Ghost Rider, Son Of Satan, The Spectre, the Phantom Stranger, and Deadman. There were just a ton of comcis and mags to keep a horror fan happy. Does anyone else remember these fondly? Are there favorites I didn't think of? Also, maybe someone can help me remember if there was a short-lived Marvel comic, called "I, Zombie"? It seems there was, but I am not sure. It might have featured Brother Voodoo.

30 Days Of Night is being adapted into a movie and I will definitely see that. And I agree on the TOPPS Dracula. I always really enjoyed Gene Colan's work on Tomb of Dracula for Marvel as well.

I have heard of the Kolchak and even had an email from the guy who did the artwork a long time ago. It looked good. Hopefully it will go into a TPB sometime and I will be able to afford it.

I am very happy to say i have recently run across a couple of CBR files with a TOn of different Dracula and Frankenstein comics, so my week should be well spent reading those. LOL
