Has anyone seen the new trailer for Casino Royale with new actor Daniel Craig taking over the role from Pierce Brosnan as 007 ....This movie is a prequel showing us Bond as he is just been made a 00 Agent and given a Licence to Kill. Alot of people had grave reservations about him getting the role ....for a start he's blonde and didn't really look the part and I won't deny I was surprised myself at him getting it but after seeing the trailer I think he brings a new intensity to the role he looks the cold hearted killer Bond is really mean't to be and I'm getting increasingly excited as the time looms for its release.... There is a few continuity errors apparently though most notably Judi Dench is reprising her role as M even though it was brought up in earlier movies that she took over from a male M that Bond worked for. Felix Leiter a friend of Bond is supposedly introduced in this new movie but anyone who has watched Dr No will remember Bond being introduced for the first time to him then.
Also Moneypenny and Q are also not going to be in this movie..... which is kind of disappointing but hopefully they will be in the next if this one is as successfull as they think it will be.
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.

I am going to try and watch this movie with an open mind, but I am one of the people who have grave reservations about it. I don't really care that Craig has blonde hair. My issues are about the fact that they are taking out all of the gadgets and the fun elements of Bond. They decided they wanted to go for a darker Bond, more like the Bourne movies. Okay, so those could be good, but why try and turn Bond into something like something else? The Bond franchise, aside from the various imitators over the years, was unique and a lot of fun. This sounds more like like any other of dozens of other spy movies now. It may be a good movie, but I doubt it will really be "James Bond" anymore.

NO Q + No Gadgest+ No puns = No fun.
Give Lazenby a break though. On Her Majesty's Secret Service DID have one of the best scripts for a James Bond movie ever. It is a shame that the viewing public didn't take to him as Bond.

Okay so Pierce Brosnan's gone, and John Cleese has gone back to the Ministry of Silly Walks?
I think 007's lisence to kill just expired---and if I want to see a silly Bond movie, I'll watch the original Casino Royale; at least it features the music of Herb Alpert and Tijuana Brass.

Oh, it has something that was lacking in its predecessors, all right.
Cindy has digital cable TV and when I saw it in free movies I figured, what the heck.
Cindy---sci-fi, samurai and action movie fan in her own right---got bored about 10 minutes into the flick.
I watched almost the first hour before I gave up, and agreed with Cindy's opinion.
Gay---no, not in a derisive sense, but this film was definitely aimed at homosexual men.
I wondered when I could not remember a single female form in the opening credit sequence.
Most of the time Bond bounds around like a big hairless ape; but when we see Daniel Craig frolicking in the surf, that was it.
This opens up a whole new set of demographics for the 007 genre, but I was generally bored with Bond's queer eye makeover.
