Got my D&D Players Kit yesterday and went about creating a character. Man have things changed! It took me several hours to go through and get everything set up! Now that I have it though, I REALLY want to learn the new game and start playing it. I say "new" game because, while it is similar to the game I played in the early 80,s D&D 3.5 is a LOT different from what I have seen so far.

I don't play RPGs as a rule but I can relate.
When I built the first of four, fully transforming Robotech Macross-type Veritech fighters, the instruction book was a bit intimidating at first.
You just have to remember you're not building the whole thing at once. Begin with assembly step one, then just patiently do it by the numbers.

Oh, it is going to be a lot of fun once I can actually get the game going. Have you seen how many books there are for D&D now???

Yes and in the past 5 or so years the game has really exploded. More and more "stuff" comes out every month. And with just the modules costing $20-30, not to mention the books, it becomes quite costly very vast. God bless the internet.

TG for the internet indeed. I was able to find the core books I needed to start out with for about half price. They were listed on Amazon as used, but they truly were like new. Can't beat that!
